Many parts of the university need to make their resources bookable, be it vehicles, equipment, space, or even musical instruments. In some cases we have very specialised tools, such us Stratocore, which is being deployed for the B53 Clean Rooms. In other cases people may wish to use the Microsoft Bookings tool that is part of our Microsoft subscription.
However, for many years, one of our research labs has provided resource booking systems for various labs and groups around the university, using the excellent LibreBookings software. We have agreed to absorb this service into our team’s portfolio as it primarily supports research activities.
We make a fresh install for each booking system, and so different labs can have different configurations. Each booking systems all use the university Single Sign on to log in, so you won’t need extra passwords.
The administrators of an installation can create resources and assign users to groups who can book certain resources. To learn more about what this tool can do, see the administration and normal usage documentation.
If you would like to discuss us hosting a new booking system for your part of the university, get in touch with our team via the contact information on this site.
